New data connection helps manufacturers manage complex ecoData once and make it available with minimal effort across the two leading building material  platforms

San Francisco, CA — Ecomedes and Sustainable Minds today announced a partnership to usher in a new era of brand reach and product data and evaluation. The partnership makes it easy for manufacturer brands to reach the largest A&D audience, with much less work.

Manufacturers can maintain product data through ecomedes’ Data Management and Data Quality Monitoring tools and publish it to the Sustainable Minds Transparency Catalog, a trusted source for environmental product declarations (EPDs), material ingredient disclosures and now, LEED v5 eligible documents. The connection gives manufacturers a way to reach customers across both platforms, without having to choose one over the other, and helps A&D professionals find product information, assess LEED, The Common Materials Framework, and more,  on the platforms they already use.

The Challenge

Manufacturers need to reach A&D customers who search for products on many different platforms. Maintaining high quality data on all these platforms is difficult, wastes time, creates inconsistent data risk, and forces the A&Ds to do data wrangling work.  They don’t have time and don’t want to be data engineers!

The Solution

Ecomedes and Sustainable Minds are working together to make life easier for manufacturers and A&Ds. Manufacturers can gain a competitive edge, according to industry leader Kimberly Lombardozzi from W. R. Meadows:

“W. R. MEADOWS and its subsidiary, Blue Ridge Fiberboard, partner with ecomedes and Sustainable Minds to meet customers where they already work—making trusted sustainability data easier to find, compare, and use with confidence.”

– Kimberly A. Lombardozzi, Sustainability Manager W. R. Meadows

How It Works

When customers sign up with ecomedes, they will have the option to list their products on  the Transparency Catalog, extending reach to architects, designers, and projects. A&Ds can use either of the two leading platforms from ecomedes (here) or Sustainable Minds (here) and always get the right information from participating brands.

“Manufacturers need to get accurate and complete product data in as many evaluations as possible. This partnership joins the two leading platforms making it easier for all stakeholders.”

 – Kathleen Egan, CEO ecomedes

“As the Transparency Catalog celebrates its 10th anniversary, we’re excited to provide new ways for MFRs to leverage their transparency investments and get their products into the platforms the industry trusts and uses every day,”

– Terry Swack, Founder & CEO, Sustainable Minds

Availability

The data bridge is available now to manufacturers on both platforms. Reach out to Paul@ecomedes.com or Terry@sustainableminds.com.
