For architects, interior designers, and project teams who specify contract furniture, finding reliable sustainability data has never been fast or easy. Certifications live in different places. EPDs require digging. LEED credit analysis can take a consultant hours. That changes today for anyone working with Hightower.

Hightower has launched a dedicated portal on ecomedes, now live at hightower.ecomedes.com. It is free to use and gives anyone working with Hightower products instant access to the full scope of the company's sustainability and environmental performance data, across every product in the catalog.

What the Hightower ecomedes Portal Does

The portal gives users the ability to search and filter the full Hightower catalog by certification, eco-label, or sustainability framework. From there, users can evaluate any product or group of products against major rating systems including LEED v5, WELL, the Living Building Challenge, and the Common Materials Framework (CMF). Detailed Eco Impact Summaries are available for entire furniture lines, and project documentation can be exported as shareable PDFs or CSV files in seconds.

That last part is worth sitting with. What used to take a consultant four to six hours of analysis now takes seconds. As Paul Shahriari, Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of ecomedes, put it:

"What Hightower has built on the sustainability side is genuinely breathtaking - the supply chain story, the certifications, the data depth - and our job is to make all of that as easy to find and use as possible. What used to take a consultant four to six hours to analyze now takes seconds on the Hightower portal. We built this so that anyone, whether it's a designer, a dealer, or a project team, can walk in knowing what Hightower products they love and walk out with every piece of sustainability documentation they'll ever need. That's how you actually make buildings greener."

- Paul Shahriari, Founder and Chief Innovation Officer, ecomedes

Why This Matters Now: The Rise of the Common Materials Framework

The launch is well timed. The Common Materials Framework, developed by Mindful Materials and now incorporated into AIA 2030 commitments and major rating systems including LEED v5, is gaining rapid adoption across the industry. The CMF organizes product sustainability across five impact categories: human health, climate health, ecosystem health, circular economy, and social health and equity.

Hightower products map across all five categories. One hundred percent of the portfolio is certified Indoor Advantage Gold for human health. The full catalog is covered by the company's B Corp certification under social health and equity. Select products carry Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), take-back programs, and recycled-content materials.

For project teams navigating CMF requirements, having all of that data in one searchable portal is a genuine operational advantage.

A Dedicated Portal, Not Just a Listing

ecomedes hosts data for over 1.2 million products from 16,000 brands. Hightower is among a select group of manufacturers to launch a fully dedicated portal - a branded, curated experience that surfaces the complete product catalog with rich data, rather than simply appearing within the broader platform's general catalog.

That distinction matters to Hightower. Natalie Hartkopf, Chair and Co-Owner, explained the thinking:

"Joining ecomedes with our own dedicated portal is exactly that: a simple, powerful resource that puts everything in one place, whether you're a designer looking for LEED documentation or a rep walking a client through furniture options. This progress reflects who we are as a company, particularly in our commitment to transparency and sharing as much information about our products as possible. It further differentiates us in the A+D world, even as a smaller organization, relatively speaking. It's another big step in making sure we're supporting everyone who works with Hightower products."

- Natalie Hartkopf, Chair and Co-Owner, Hightower

A Commitment to Customers, Built Into the Data

For Hightower, the portal is an extension of its broader Considered Solutions approach, a philosophy built on listening closely to customers and removing friction wherever it exists. Whitney Joly, Vice President of Marketing and Sales Enablement at Hightower, put it plainly:

"Sustainability and impact data is no longer a nice-to-have; it's a core part of how our customers specify and how projects get built. We've been listening carefully to our customers through focus groups, surveys, and everything in between, and it's clear they want an easier way to find this information. This is part of our Considered Solutions approach: listening to our customers' needs."

- Whitney Joly, Vice President of Marketing and Sales Enablement, Hightower

The ecomedes partnership follows Hightower's recent integrations with Configura's Commercial Interiors Library, Aline and Spec platforms, and Cyncly's Worksheet. Each one extends the same customer-first philosophy into a different part of the specification workflow. The ecomedes portal does the same for sustainability.

How to Access the Portal

The Hightower ecomedes portal is live now. Users can create a free account at hightower.ecomedes.com. Existing Hightower product pages at hightower.design also link directly to the portal, giving customers a seamless path from product browsing to full sustainability documentation.

If you are an architect, designer, dealer, or project team working with Hightower products, the portal is built for you. Everything you need, in one place, in seconds.
