ENERGY STAR is a credible government-backed program that identifies highly energy efficient products in the marketplace that was Launched in 1992 by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Each product is independently certified to meet a strict set of standards for energy efficiency set by the EPA. Certification is administered by more than 20 certification bodies and over 500 labs.
